Transplant harden-off schedule
Enter your last spring frost (or a coarse USDA zone), days until you plan to set out (or mark already past frost), pick 1–6 crop types, and the seedling age band. You get a calm 5–10 day harden-off sketch: hours outdoors, shade→sun, and overnight yes/no — plus frost / leggy / tender-crop warnings.
Honest framing: harden-off is weather-watching, not a calendar stamp. A cold snap resets overnight plans. Leggy starts need gentler shade. Peppers and eggplant usually want a slower ramp than brassicas or lettuce. Numbers are soft home-garden ranges, not a greenhouse protocol.
Frost anchor
Coarse mid-continental last-frost midpoints. Prefer a local date when you have one.
Overrides zone midpoint when set. Soft CTA needs zone or this date.
Set-out timing & seedlings
Start harden-off so the last days land near set-out — not a week early in a cold snap.
Leggy starts get a gentler shade-first ramp.
Soft CTA needs yard or ¼-acre+.
Soft CTA only for serious-season or systems-build on yard+.
Peppers / eggplant ramp slower than brassicas or lettuce. Soft CTA needs ≥1.
